New for 2026, artist Lucy Grainge brings a working screen-printing studio to Emerge East.

This drop-in space will invite participants to create their own bespoke, one-off screen print on paper. Using a mix of local textures and shapes, each design will celebrate Barking Riverside's community and natural environment — a lasting, handmade souvenir of the day.

Lucy Grainge is an artist, designer and arts educator. Her practice explores colour, shape and pattern working across printmaking, design, installations and public art. Lucy is interested in collaborative and community-centred projects and often works in the field of arts and health. In 2021, she co-launched Wiggle Wonderland CIC, a touring pavilion shaped by artists and communities.
