The Emerge East Printing Studio with Lucy Grainge

New for 2025, textile and print artist Lucy Grainge, brings a working screen-printing studio to Emerge East.

This drop-in space will invite participants to create their own bespoke, one-off screen print on paper. Using a mix of local textures and shapes, each design will celebrate Barking Riverside’s community, and natural environment—a lasting, handmade souvenir of the day.

Lucy Grainge is an artist, designer and arts educator. Her practice explores colour, shape and pattern working across printmaking, graphic design and installations. Lucy is interested in collaborative and community centred projects and often works in the field of arts and health. In 2021, she co-launched Wiggle Wonderland CIC, a touring pavilion shaped by artists and communities.
