What Grows Again

What Grows Again

Facilitated by Antoine Léger

Inspired by local bird habitats and forests, Bird Builders invites children to build oversized nests, build dens with natural materials, and explore nest-building play that encourages creativity, teamwork, and connection with nature.

As part of the Insect Playground, Antoine's master's project What Grows Again (MA Material Futures 2026, Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London) introduces families to coppiced timber, a regenerative woodland material that grows back in cycles. Through hands-on building with a modular connector system, participants explore sustainable design, collective making, and the potential of materials shaped by nature.
